1. THE IRON CORE
The silicon alloyed electric sheet steel used is grain-oriented, cold-rolled and insulated on both sides, guaranteeing low losses and noise. Standard use of step-lap cutting additionally minimizes losses and noise.
2. THE WINDING
The windings are made of copper or aluminum. Low-voltage windings use strip/flat wire; high voltage uses round/profile wire. Diamond-dotted paper bonds the winding into a compact block, increasing short-circuit capacity.
3. THE TANK
Tanks are built for absolute tightness under stress. Pretreatment by sandblasting and multi-coating ensures corrosion protection. Options include hot-dip galvanization and corrugated walls for volume changes.
